Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Hi. I'm Chauntel, the person behind Kazoo. We're writing this in plain language because that matches how we want to run this company. Here's what you need to know about your information with us.
What we collect
When you sign up, we collect your name, your email address, your relationship to the children you're writing for, and each child's name and birth month and year. That's it. We don't collect phone numbers, physical addresses, or any other personal information.
How we use it
We use your information to send you monthly prompts and occasional updates about Kazoo. The children's names and birthdays help us personalize the prompts you receive. We do not sell, share, or rent your information to anyone.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in a secure database and also synced to Beehiiv, the email platform we use to send prompts. Beehiiv has their own privacy policy you can read on their website. We also use Resend to send transactional emails like welcome messages. Both companies are reputable and take data security seriously.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send you. You can also ask us to delete your information entirely by emailing us. We'll remove your data from both our database and Beehiiv within a reasonable timeframe.
Children's information
While Kazoo is about children, it's built for adults to use. We only collect a child's first name and birth month and year, provided by the adult signing up. Kazoo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a significant change, we'll email subscribers to let them know.
